Structural Emergence: The Fractal Geometry of Nature
Here we will explore how the many fractal shapes found in nature emerge from relatively simple rules. Through this, we'll hope to understand why trees, neurons, and galaxy clusters all form similar shapes, and what forces shape the structures that emerge.

The Trouble of Bowling Turkeys
When Bowling, if your chances of getting a strike decreases with every strike, on average how many tries will it take to bowl three strikes in a row (a Turkey)? To solve this problem, we'll explore a mathematical technique I like to call the probability of states. This technique opens up a wide range of probability problems and will eventually take us to an introduction to Markov Chains, one of probabilities most useful tools.
