I think the blogpost is a summary of a standard textbook chapter on this topic, that doesn’t make any attempt towards simplifying it or adding a new perspective.

It was a good read for learning about approximations. It started simple, can built out using algebra to minimise the error terms. It was relatively easy to follow. And then there were the extensions at the bottom related to multi-variable which was harder to track, but! it’s definitely an idea for people to follow up on, if they’re interested.

Add some more engaging motivations / examples, this felt a bit like the first three weeks of a numerical methods class
