Summer of Math Exposition

I appreciated that you covered implied coefficients, a part of using the quadratic formula that students tend to have trouble with. A few large blocks of text were too long to read in the time provided.

This might be better as a blog post. Music and no voice over does not add much. Also, this does not add much to the understanding of the quadratic formula. There are many beautiful ways to explain it, or remember it, or understand it.

No derivation or explanation about the formula itself, just showing the process of plugging numbers into an equation. The example quadratic is easily factorable so doesn’t point to a need for the equation, as visualizing what parts of the equation are doing (ie where the vertex is) not shown.

I believe that a lot of high school students will find this useful.

Why is the equation written as $ax^2 \pm bx \pm c = 0$ instead of $ax^2 + bx + c = 0$?
