Summer of Math Exposition

It was really funny and exciting. I remember of xkcd style jokes at some times.

I think it would be hard for most students to follow with the text, because it assumes certain knowledge and notation about calculus that many students don’t have.

I like the idea of writing a story about mathematical concepts to explain them better and I appreciate the use of interactive elements in the webpage such that the reader can also experiment themselves.

For the integration part, I would have liked more labels on the axis of the plots. Mainly because sometimes it is difficult to understand what function is actually plotted. Is it f(x) or f’(x)? Also for me the reasoning why we are getting the area under the gradient function does not become entirely clear in the story and I think another plot with the triangles filling the area under the gradient or something similar to a Riemann sum would have been more helpful.

The part on Euler’s constant was difficult to follow for me and it was not clear what the final result was and why one should care about it. It is mentioned that the result is important in, for example, music but not why it is important there and what its effect is.
