Games To Play In 4 Dimensions And Beyond

We may not be able to see in 4 dimensions and beyond, but we can play games in those higher dimensions. The games I discuss are Minesweeper, 5D Chess With Multiverse Time Travel, and Projective Set. I adapted these games to be playable within Minecraft, and you can play them on my public Minecraft server! Background necessary: basic arithmetic, geometry Topics covered: modular arithmetic, linear algebra, geometric analogues in higher dimensions

Video is Novel, Clear, and Memorable but the motiviation was lost. Why should we care about multiple dimensions other than it being a part of linear algebra? Is the motivation just to play these games?

The severe side-to-side stereo panning of the narrator's voice is very distracting! Mix the voice to a fixed center location, don't pan it all around.

I have seen thirty minute videos that are justified in being that long. But this is not worth it. I would strongly suggest just picking 1 of the 3 as that would have been plenty. Also, this topic is not all that unique or original. The very fact that this has a published game ready for download means that this is not a niche topic. "multi dimensional game_X" is so common of a topic it is borders on being a meme. There is nothing new being talked about here and sitting through 30 minutes of information that has already been done by thousands upon thousands of other people is just not worth it. In a way, I can tell that you are more used to streaming. For a stream, it is normal to talk for hours upon hours just repeating commonly known facts.

Cool instructive video ! Very original, with different games in 4D with various aspects to understand this concept. I'm a bit disappointed by the length of the video : explanations take a long time, and it results in a loss of clarity (in my opinion). 4D is a wide, but common subject, and you added a new, interresting point a vue to it. The idea is great and using minecraft to visualise the concept is also a good idea. But the video was a bit too long and repetitive for me.

The content of the video is excellent. The audio quality, however, is not. I would strongly recommend that you invest in a good microphone setup.

Regarding motivation: I understand why understanding higher dimensions is important from the video. The game where you need to find a set is not a high dimension by nature just because you have some combinations. Similarly Rubik's cube then should be higher dimensional game because it has very high set of independent moves. In the end, you didn't show it's maximum number of pieces. You only proved that it's maximal set of pieces. For similar situation google "maximum vs maximal matching". If you can't increase set with single addition doesn't mean you can't increase set with some replacements and multiple additions.
