This is a great video to build up intuition in children, so they can rediscover elements of maths themselves. Hope you continue this series <3

This is a great video, and I agree with the ideas in the video, but I don’t think it’s an “exposition of math” (i.e it doesn’t teach a topic which could be used in a classroom) but more of an “exposition on how to teach math,” so I’m not really sure it’s fair to compare it to most of the other entries.

The creator presents his method in a very clear and understandable way. I like the structure and the visualisation in the video. I agree that children should be given the opportunity to discover the rules in mathematics on their own and I am a big advocate of “discovery learning.” The example with fractions is clearly chosen and could also be beneficial in other areas of mathematics.

The content restricted the execution. It is not gripping enough to motivate a viewer to focus, especially given the relatively superfluous encounters we have had with the topic: active learning vs rote memorization.

The video is highly clear, though. There is minimal background needed; the presenter did the best he could, given the topic.

This video might spark curiosity to students who are beginners in fractions. Although, the video slightly hints towards the pattern recognition (or “discovery”), but the author limits the video to just fractions.

Maybe the author could’ve introduced the topic with the patterns found in Nature and connect them with a goal to “recognise the patterns” or/and how patterns are useful in speeding up the calculations.

Someone who’s already familiar with the topic (mostly middle-school and high-school students) may not find the novelty.

But, a good way to introduce fractions to the elementary-school students.
