It’s very delightful seeing a geometry puzzle being solved purly computational. A bit more rigor or an explanation how one could come up with the solution by hand would be an interesting addition. As it is, the video serves as a good introduction on using GeoGebra for area computation.

It was very interesting to see that the narrator (if I understood it correctly) was not the one who solved the puzzle, and she wasn’t the one coming up with it either. Maybe due to this, I missed some crucial insights where the video was a bit too fast. It was fun and interesting, but had lack of motivation as well, other than pure hobbyist enjoyment, which is great in itself but I gathered that it is an important part of this exposition.

Very brave of you to join a math exposition competition as an English major! This is an interesting tool that I haven’t heard of. For the rating it’s hard for me to place it higher because I wasn’t “wow”ed by it compared to some other math explainers I’ve seen.

I would consider as a GeoGebra tutorial and not be a math lesson

Simple, quick video. Nothing much to it, but might be nice as an introduction of geometry and geometric construction to kids.

This feels like a tutorial on how to use geogebra. It also doesn’t explain the punchline of the original puzzle well, which is the fact that it doesn’t matter what the radius of the two original circles are. In the end you do address it geometrically but it’s hard to understand the connection.

I really liked the introduction to the video, it was great pacing and had an authentic feel.

Unfortunately, here is the big issue: using geogebra to calculate the area of the annulus, isn’t a solution to the puzzle at all… it doesn’t give the audience any kind of insight. If the numbers in the puzzle were changed slightly, people who had watched your video would have no better chance of solving the new puzzle than people who hadn’t. Think of it like a crossword puzzle - what fun is it if you just copy and paste the clues into google?

I think the “uninformed, discover-with-me” style of narration was promising, and can work well in the future.
