A look at complex numbers from the perspective of physics: what are they, what are they even good for, and why on earth are they all over quantum mechanics?

The dichotomy between complex numbers being used in other fields simply as “detours” while being not simply “detours” in quantum mechanics, but foundational, stuck with me.

Great explanations. Assumes viewers have little to no experience with the topic.

Super goof story telling!

This is a very good video. Its intention is good, and so is its execution.

Great video! This is extremely well-motivated and clear.

To paraphrase a fella named Quincy: I know complex numbers don’t exist, but I know REAL numbers don’t exist too! In terms of realness, they’re just as real as I am!

Everything you said about complex numbers not having a real-world application also applies to negative numbers, yet I never hear anyone complaining that they don’t exist. Strange how that goes.

This was a good video on a topic that has been widely covered elsewhere. The presentation is excellent, the presenter clearly feels comfortable in front of the camera and explaining the contents. The supporting visuals are good, just a bit too static. One piece of constructive feedback: the transitions last about 10 seconds each, that means a big fraction of a full minute the viewer is watching titles, it really does not take 10 sec to read a sentence. I found this too much. The motivation and clarity are excellent; however, the novelty suffers due to this being a repetitive topic; and even though the content was interesting there was no mind-blowing moment. Still, good video, better than most that I have watched in SOME so far. I will make sure to check this channel out.
