Discrete derivative is a good tool for finding the sum of a sequence. And it is about him and some of my discoveries about this discrete derivative that I will talk about in this video.

On the whole, the topic is explained quite well and the animations are also nice. However, I feel like it jumped into the topic without giving a clear motivation. Also, the video isn't that original, since there are already a lot of videos on youtube about discrete derivatives.

I respect your accent, but at least make it easy to listen and understand. Maybe subtitles?

The visualizations were clean, but the content could be improved. There were more to say about discrete derivatives. Also, you could spend more time giving incentives why someone should watch the video in the beginning.

Very positive about the video is the style of animation, its obvious that the author knows his manim skills very well. That includes the animations that we see especially in the first half of the video, demonstrating the meaning of a discrete derivative on graphs. In the second half of the video, i was missing some of the visualisations as the video became very focused on formulas. Regarding novelty, I actually believe that the topic we see here isn't something that had been presented in a similar way on YouTube before (or at least I did never see it). I very much appreciate the idea to have a look at the discrete derivative and its properties, as it is mostly used to introduce the concept of infinitesimals and not as a mathematical tool itself. Room for improvement is the pace of the video. As soon as visualizations became fewer, the many results presented were just in too few time to understand all of them when viewing the video only one time. I would consider giving a proper motivation in the introduction as something that would lift up the quality of your video even higher than it is already. Overall, I rated the explainer as an "About the same+". I'd like to thank the author for the video and Im looking forward to another entry by them in next years SOME.

I feel like this would be an interesting way to help students understand the fundamental theorem of calculus.
