Good video, but the topic is really old now

Good motivation for getting into fibs. I felt a bit heart broken when you said that's a coincident. It would be a big Aha moment if there was physical link between fibs and miles/km. I liked the desmos visualization as well.

The video is technically well done and also the explanation is clear and easy to understand. Unfortunately, the topic is not something one needs to care about - the author itself mentions, that it is just a coincidence that the conversion miles to kilometers is approximately golden ratio. Therefore it is a funny fact but nothing more.

Voting as Better than most. Its short but I've got to admit that that was a fun video. I'm always on the lookout for mental arithmetic tricks that help you to do quick conversions. This is one I will always remember.

I like it! It's always fun to play with phi and the Fibonacci sequence, and the coincidence with conversions between miles and kilometers is charming. I'm sure I'll end up using that at some point. Thanks for making this video!

I really like this style of presentation, which I find very natural. The presented diagram conveys the intuition of convergence very well and it's something that you don't see very often. You even answered a question that arised in my head as something worth discussing, which is concerned with different starting points. I must say, however, that 55 is not so great an example of a non-Fibonacci number.

I liked this video, but it could have been better. The big problem is that all the math is just crudely written in the margins of a graph and it is hard to read. But the graph is nice.

Lol, this seems to be more accurate than multiplying by 1.6 which is what I do. (0.58% vs 0.54% error.) Going to this much trouble for a 0.04% improvement (less than a yard) is very like a mathematician. :-)

Brief and interesting. Fascinating that after so many things we heard about Fibonacci there are still nee things to be heard about. Liked your submission.

I will keep the mile to km transformation, the rest is not a surprise but the angle of view is easy to understand.

Yay, someone talking about this spectacularly useful trick! I'm Australian and have the same problem of trying to be bilingual with travel dimensions. Learning about the Fibonacci mile/km conversion helped so much with getting that intuition. ("Too many Fs!" -- is that what they call an f-bomb? Kappa) More people need to hear about this!
