Boxing Indefinite Integrals?

Audience:

In this video, we’ll take a look at how to solve indefinite integrals, but instead of using the usual ‘u’ substitution , I decided to use a visual approach so everyone can track what’s going on during integration. Many people merely apply the trial and error method when solving, which can feel frustrating, so my goal is to make the process much easier to follow.

I really liked the unique method that you showed for solving both rational and irrational integrals, rephrasing u-substitution and the chain rule through a clear-cut method for boxing sections of the integrand and checking derivatives. I feel like maybe the section explaining how to derive the trigonometric substitutions could be shortened/simplified; or maybe you could move the explanations for each of the subs (atantheta, asintheta) to where you used them to simplify integrals for rational/irrational functions earlier in the video. Also, I think having a preview of the “axioms” that you created to solve integrals at the start of the video (or a review of them at the end), might help viewers remember the steps more easily. Overall, this was a great video, and I look forward to seeing you tackle other methods of integration as well!
