Great job guys! Your energy for the topic is really infectious, and I did learn about the construction of the square root for the first time, which was interesting. I do think at the start there are some parts of it which are slightly style over substance, which does make the throughline slightly weak at points, and it is a bit disappointing to have the answer rely so much on the black box of Lindemann’s result, but I don’t think there’s anything to be done about that. I also think that showing how the problem is possible if you allow “rolling” is quite a creative touch. Overall taking the content on its own merits, quite good.
(and sorry for not being able to respond in Spanish - I know a little but I’m really not very fluent)
There is quite a nice (somewhat) general audience book about the impossibility problems. But I enjoyed reading your take on this particular problem. I will note that it is not with a ruler but instead with a straightedge that it is impossible. I think probably where this left me wondering was in the details of Lindemann’s theorem. I didn’t even see it stated.
