5 minutes in and I still don’t know what is your point, where you’re going, etc.

I only watched about 20% of this. If you want to make an engaging video, don’t start with a title and “in this presentation …”. It just makes me shout ‘next!’. I skipped around a bit - the bit with the trees was interesting. That’s the kind of thing you should open with to grab interest.

This video began stating that it would present original work, but gave absolutely zero motivation for why I should care about what was going to be talked about. A few minutes into the video, the creator is mentioning things like order 1 negative branch fractals and order 2 negative branch fractals, which haven’t been defined.

So I’m already feeling completely lost and have no idea why these things are being discussed or where we are going. I’m already very frustrated with this video.

I’m now at minute 7, and suddenly we’re on to Hilbert time. Again, I don’t know why we’ve shifted to a new topic. There is no motivation provided, and the transition from one topic to the next was somewhat jarring and unexpected.

I also noticed that the voiceover was clearly recorded with different microphones or at least in different locations because both the volume and character of the voice change pretty dramatically throughout the video. This is very distracting.

I’m not at minute 11 and suddenly were talking about radiation and the inverse square law. Why? I have no idea. Once again, no attempt has been made to connect one idea to the next.

Now we’re back to Hilbert curves again. Sigh. I normally make it a point to watch the entire video when I am judging videos, but I’m not sure I’m going to be able to watch this video all the way through. I’m only at 14 and the video is 33 minutes long.

Okay, I’ve criticized this video quite a bit, so now I want to give some positive feedback. This video has a lot of interesting things in it, and the graphics are well done. The main problem is that this video just comes across as a rambling mish-mash of ideas that doesn’t appear to have any coherent storyline. I’m sorry of that sounds harsh, but it’s true. I tried mightily to be open minded about this video, but I simply cannot take it any more. I stopped watching at minute 20. Again, there is some really neat things in this video, but the presentation really needs to be improved if the creator actually wants people to watch the video. I am part of a friendly audience and I simply couldn’t force myself to continue watching.
