It’s a great instruction video with clear motivation and hands on application contexts. However it’s more of a 4 hours long coding class than a math education tool. Not saying the abstract thinking skills aren’t important, but it deviates from the theme quite a bit.
Wow that was an extremely deep dive into computer vision, simulation, data interpretation, and optimization. With the amount of content covered at the level of coverage, I would be hard-pressed to make a shorter video too. This video inspired curiosity and brought up how certain ideas were applicable in more general areas. The production quality was high throughout, and there were pauses whenever a clarification felt needed. However, due to the length, I think people would be intimidated to watch it through. I know there were frequent reminders for breaks and times to stop and take notes, but this was a lot of information. If someone were to make a shorter video, I would assume this would involve leaving the coding segments out. With how the video is structured and compared to the vision of the creator, I think this is a fitting and solid entry.
Not sure if this video / CS course is good fit for SoME, but by golly, thanks for making this available to everyone! Good for youngsters to watch videos longer than a tiktok dance :D
I hope many watch it and feel encouraged to pick up coding. CodeParade etc never really show the nitty gritty like you did.
I wished all my computer science students would watch this! Obviously, a tiny little bit too long to actually make it mandatory 😅
Four hours is an incredibly daunting video. Sorry, I didn’t spend that much of my time just to judge this entry.
I cannot follow a 4-hour video; it would take away time from discovering other channels and giving my opinion. I could not suggest it to students either. Try to break the content into smaller parts; otherwise, it cannot be a video accessible to everyone. The topic is very general… why not make it more specialized and fragmented? Another suggestion: cut out the dead time. The computer science part is very detailed, not within the reach of every high school.
