Mandelbrot Musings: Stability

How in the world is THIS POINT in the middle of nowhere part of the Mandelbrot Set? How is the point RIGHT NEXT TO IT not? How is the next point in the same direction back in the set again? I dig into how the Mandelbrot set works, visually, to eventually show why points in the middle of nowhere end up in the Mandelbrot set, and more so, how a tiny movement at that point pulls it out of the set, and doubly more so, how the same movement puts it back in the set.

I enjoyed the somewhat comedic tone you took, but in places it made this content feel less authoritative than it should have been (in my opinion). I enjoyed the idea of chapters but felt like the main way if explaining was dragging around the point to watch the lines. That was really neat but got slightly old in the middle. This took a lot of effort and was well done, thank you!

Obviously, you could have better audio. Playing around with visuals IS surprisingly informative AND (imo) you can enrich it with small simple tiny equations inequalities or numbers as an aside (with larger font). You could also help your target audience in giving more references to what you are doing.

Content is memerable but nothing about this video is novel, all of it has been covered before elsewhere on YouTube.

If I rated this video purely based on entertainment, it is excellent. I enjoyed your narrations. In the future, it would be great if there was a written explainer that really delved into the details.

Always interested in new perspectives on the structure and behaviour inside the set. The outside of the set gets all the attention because it's easy to find spectacular ways to colour it. Inside the set, there's just as much going on, but finding successful ways to colour-code it is more of a challenge. +++ for memorability, ++ for novelty, + for clarity

There is certainly a good amount of effort in this video, but it's too long and the script is not good.
