Geometry with a Strange Name

This is a video about the last Thurston geometry we have not previously explained in our videos, "the universal cover of the 2x2 special linear group over reals". Why such a name? An exciting travel through spaces of motion, product, and twisted product geometries! Get a blue yeti! Very cheap.

doesn't have clear audience, some hard stuff but some easier stuff visuals don't help the explanation enough and the turning with bright colours is a bit dizzying cat bit was clear and nice animations are nice

Visually spectacular, and I could at least feel as though I was following the difficult subject-matter. Very ambitious, & well executed!

I understand you try to visualise the different spaces, but those slides in the middle are the key understanding! It doesn't make sense to only go over it so quickly before going into the visualisation. Maybe watching the previous videos helps, but I don't think I gained a lot of understanding with these visualisations, however visually pleasing they might be.

You a little bit echoey. Mesmerising video though. And well done getting the giant asteroid-cat to stay still during filming. I'm grading almost all videos similarly because they've all been pretty good.

The visualization was really cool. I didn't follow the technicality of the matter as much, but I understand the idea of exploring hypothetical dimensions of rotations. One recommendation, for new viewers who have not watched previous videos or are not familiar to the topic, is to suggest in the beginning what specific videos a viewer should watch beforehand if they want to get a little prepared for this topic, or to get into the mindset by working through to the earlier videos.

Despite the length, this is a great video, with great unique content and very good script and animations

Despite the exotic topic, some detours and many references to previous videos, this is a very enjoyable and clear explainer.
