This feels like it’s intended as a refresher for experts, not an explanation for someone trying to learn. You throw a lot of formulas at the audience without telling us what they mean or where they come from. Slow down a bit, and give us the context to process what we’re seeing.
Unfortunately, I found this video quite hard to follow. I found myself thrown into the cold water without any motivation. The video style rather felt like “Here is a formula, here is another formula” without explaining the why behind them. So I was missing clarity and the video didn’t really motivate me to dig deeper into quantum physics.
On a technical side, the audio quality definitely needs improvement (there’s a lot of noise) and especially try to mumble less and better use the “melody” of English phrases instead of monotonously staying on one tone. With regards to the video, it’d be nice to use vector graphics instead of low-resolution bitmaps of formulas. The synchronisation between video/audio seemed out of place several times; you could try to better align these parts in editors of your choice, e.g. Davinci Resolve (free).
Despite this, please keep going and try to improve your skills by getting more into video editing and didactics. You may also want to check out big STEM YouTube channels and draw inspirations from how they approach things.
The video covers a very advanced quantum physics topic in a notably short amount of time. As someone who isn’t familiar with quantum teleportation, the pace of the explanation felt a bit too fast and confusing. I believe the key solution to make the viewer grasp the concept better would be to define key terminology such as photon A, B and C as well as the terms in the equation in greater detail. Also, a comprehensive explanation for Alice and Bob’s operations with examples using the physics formulas given would help the video to be more memorable for the viewer.
The slides in the video before 1:57 are really nice, which make it easy to understand.
You show four operation with X and Z in 1:57 but only explain them in the next slide, before that, I don’t know what are you talking about, I even don’t know what X and Z is actually something like matrix. So I think you can explain X and Z before showing the four operation.
Also that slide should shows more relation or text between the formula. If they don’t have strong relation, you might as well show them in different slide.
After the 1:57 slide, I couldn’t understand what happened and how bob get the message.
This explainer does not define things that it is talking about. It does not define what teleportation is in the beginning, what information actually means, what does the quantum state Bra-ket notation means, what qubits are, what entaglement is, etc. Because of this, I found myself lost from the beginning.
I’d suggest to at least reasonably give some background to people watching. If there is pre-requisite knowledge that you think people should know, please mention it from the beginning.
Think about motivating the topic. If I do not know what quantum teleportation is, why would I care to watch an explainer about it?
I feel like it was unclear at times in general because not a lot of the math words were explained. I think visuals besides the equations and explanations of what the equations represent could be better.
