I like the visuals and drawings and I think you did a great job explaining your thought process on how you approached the problem and had logical steps. Keep it up!
The 3D visualizations and animations are really great. Putting a white background for the initial illustration of the earth could make it a bit easier to see. As the complexity increases towards the end of the video, it could help to have more explanation to make it easier to follow without needing pencil and paper.
Animation is simple but pretty cool. The topic is interesting as well!
I like the cute drawings. You might take more pauses and linger on the equations more so that it is easier to digest it. Or continue equations of further sections so the viewers can see it for longer.
I feel that I was left with a problem to solve rather than being taken through the solution. Would love to see longer bits of working out the numbers in the example or explanation of the final formula. That said, I enjoyed watching this more than most submissions!
I appreciate that the video takes its time to “figure out” the solution, but I believe it could have been much more concise and to the point. Maybe around 3 to 5 minutes would be enough for this topic.
Visuals were decent.
The narration could have been better. Although using a background music is preferred, that was not an issue here. The problem is in the monotonic voice of the narrator, which hurts the attention of audience.
The choice of topic is good, and the thumbnail is great. However this acts as a double edged sword: the video doesn’t deliver its premise properly.
A lot of the actual math was glossed over. I think you have enough time to go into more detail about how the math was derived, and how you found the triangle with side length sin(h) cos(v)
