This video was gave a really neat way to look at how 0.9 repeating is actually equal to one. I had never thought of using this kind of analysis with intervals to show how an infinitely repeating value converges to a single number. Instead of just lingering on the 0.9 repeating equals one example, you could look at other series through this lens as well. That topic would create a better motivation for the video. Infinite series show up all the time in mathematics. Additionally you could explain why you are looking at the mass of the lines instead of just their length (I couldn’t quite understand that distinction).

The best one I’ve come across so far! I like the presentation and the no-nonsense visuals - they’re not very fancy, but they do their job well. My main takeaway from this is “people don’t always agree that 0.999… equals 1, but they’re perfectly happy to accept that a line segment from 0-1 has length exactly 1 even if it doesn’t include 1”. My only concrete complaint is that the ending came a little abruptly.

As a video for one of the first lectures on real anlaysis. Perhaps the fact that $\abs{a-b}-\varepsilon$ for all $\varepsilon>0$ implies that $a=b$.

I think this is a complex way to show to the student a simple topic. Too rigorous for students, but it can be appreciated by teachers.

Very detailed and well explanation. Make the visualization can be a bit upgraded but overall it is a cool topic!

I’m not clear on why 1 is excluded in the operation?

I understood the goal of the video. I’m not sure about the relevance to the target audience. I could follow the explanation to the end conclusion, though.

Personally, I’d prefer not to have music in the background because it distracted me from the explanation. Music at the beginning and/or end might be fine though.

I liked the voice.

The explains is great, and convincing, but the resolution and color scheme is not good.
